I'm pretty sure you have a wood cased mantel clock here. Why are you calling it a wall clock? Did someone in your family alter it so it could be hung up?

Your heirloom comes from Ansonia's "K" Assortment of Wood Mantel Clocks. There are three models in the Assortment, yours is called the "Kirkwood". Probably oak. From circa 1901 although your particular clock could have been manufactured several years before or after that date. Originally listed for around $4.75. The equivilent of about $140 in 2015. This style of clock is often referred to as a Gingerbread clock. They were very popular in the early 20th Century with all of the major American Clock Manufacturers offering many different models.

Here's a link to a YouTube Video of a working Kirkwood. If you do an Internet Search on "Ansonia Kirkwood Clock" you'll find many other examples.

Hope that helps to solve your mystery. If so, please indicate Mystery Solved in your listing. If not, and you have more questions, ask away.
