For those who do not know, the easiest way to explain what a transposition insulator is (from my last post) is to show one.
I picked up at the Grand Rapids, Michigan, bottle show today this Brookfield 2-piece Transposition insulator with original wooden peg.
I have wanted one for most of my few years collecting insulators.
Brookfield was a major producer of all sorts of wonderful insulators but is not as popular in the hobby as Hemingray.
Brookfield went down in 1921.
This seems to be less common than the Am. Tel. & Tel. Co. versions, but it is not a rare insulator. It's just cool as heck (to me.)
