    I am hoping you can tell me what I have. It is a cast iron Harley Davidson motorcycle with sidecar. It has a date of 1939 and some numbers that appear to be 17948.

      I have the exact same toy as you. Really glad I found your post cuz yours is in slightly better condition and helps clear up the numbers stamped underneath the side car. On mine the 1939 is nonexistent, and your numbers are more legible. Only let down is no one else has responded to your post to add a lil more detail and history to the peice. Well I have recently posted to another site and if I get a response I would gladly share what I learn. Thanks again, and nice pics by the way.

      I believe you have a Hubley Motorcycle Cop with Sidecar. There was a passenger and I have included a link yo an Ebay offering for that figure which also has a picture of the complete toy.
