I only know that it is old, Cameo itself is made from a bony type substance (not sure) and Cameo head has no jewellery on which I think dates her to be very early.

Cameos are carved out of seashells. Are there any marks on it that indicate that it is silver?
I would date this shell cameo 1920s -1940s.
