I guess this is green onyx. Looking a pics on Google Images doesn't always help me with identification troubles, lol! I've never seen a clasp like this one - the old fashioned slider clasp in a ball shape. I may re-do it and put a knot between each bead.

Lovely green color! I love the clasp too :-)
Upon close looking, I think it is glass; from the flecks, slightly off round beads shape. How are the holes? Neatly pierced or soft around the edges?
It's beautiful! I have a necklace with a couple of similar green stones that I've seen sold as Aventurine in a local shop. I've never seen a clasp like that, very pretty!
