This is a Majestic model 50 ,which was originally a battery set. Someone had converted it to 110 volts . I replaced the capacitors and refinished the cabinet. The dial on this radio really shows up with such a vibrant green.
I installed a phono jack in the rear so an MP3 can be played through the radio.

My dad had radios all over his vintage store on Madison Street, Chicago--1940s- 0n.. He bought, restored and sold old-timey radios , victrolas, short wave and all the overage was at home!! There were scopes, coiled brass wire, all kind of manuals, tools ocillascopes,)sp) others, tubes still in their old boxes, and all kinds of parts everywhere. We had to watch where we walked. If he was out of counter space for fixing in the store--it was all over tables at home. And he made a successful living for the family!! Seeing this made me feel like "home" and it is a real beauty! A treasure my dad would have loved!!
