My family recently lost my Mother, but this item left behind serves as evidence of a rich history. She told a story that it belonged to her great grandmother living near Buda-Pest as a gift from her great cousin who was some type of royalty. The piece is approximately 5 inches long 1.75 inches in diameter. Pure 22 carat gold. The perfume decanter is unique in that it has no stopper. The user presses a small lapis latch and the top "pops," open. I've tried to get it appraised but after three attempts I'm left with many questions. Those that have examined it refer to it as a, "next level," piece of jewelry with Swiss (tm) watch like design and engineering. Possibly Edwardian or Russian.
