Found this today. Probably American art pottery, but not familiar enough with companies to know which? Its red clay underneath the glaze, looks Japanese-inspired. Its pretty heavy too. Can anyone point me in a direction or suggest a company I could research?

Love it Still !...with the firing pin stilt marks and the red clay showing through it could be Peters and Reed established by John D. Peters and Adam Reed in 1899 in Zanesville, Ohio, using the local red clay.They became The Zane Pottery Co. in 1921. Another possibility in the red clay category is Grueby. I think it's older than mid-century probably the 30's. It really has a very Roseville look to the design but they never used red clay. :)

Peters & Reed "Pereco" line #9 bowl - available in blue, green, and orange. Most likely dates from the 1920s.
