Victorian ruby & clear glass thorn vase

This diminutive, yet solid Victorian glass thorn vase is made from ruby glass cased with a thick layer of clear. It has a clear applied doughnut shaped footed base with a ribbed pattern. It measures 12.2 cm tall, 2.8 cm across the cut & polished top rim & 4.5 cm across the polished base.
Most likely English in origin.
