This is my latest charity shop find. I didn't know much about Mary Gregory, just the name and a vague idea of enamelled children. Apparently there was Mary Gregory who worked in America in Victorian times, but she never actually painted children. Most early Mary Gregory Glass came from Bohemia. Other glassworks have copied the style. Looking at auction sites a lot of Mary Gregory Glass listed as Victorian, is much later. You only have to look at the clothing styles to realise the clothes they are wearing are much later. The style of my little glass mug looks to be 40's 50's. It has a polished pontil.
That's pretty, Adele!! I have a cobalt mini vase that I think is this style.
