Vintage original (1910-1920) silk pillow filled with kapok fiber and made by the Harry A. Saltzman Corporation NY. One of two found today in my favorite shop.

Kapock: A silky fiber obtained from the pods of the kapok tree, used for insulation and as padding in pillows, mattresses, and life preservers.
