I have a painting from this artist as well with the exact same signature. I have not been able to identify or get information either. It's a different scene but similar style

It looks like something from the "Bob Ross" school of painting! :^)
Just yesterday, I found 2 oil paintings by the same artist at an estate sale on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They are each 8×10, unframed, and the varnish was terribly yellowed. (In in the process of cleaning one.)
It is undoubtedly the same signature - Bertaqui/Bertagui - but I've found nothing, other than the two queries here, from BHock45 & Ciralobo.
The two paintings that I found felt antique, but the canvas is attached to the stretcher with staples, which gives me doubt.
PS: I signed up/created account just to chime in on our Bertaqui 'masterpieces' : )
