I know... it's just something I wanted to show and tell! :^D

Well no collecting here, except photographs, and memories. :^) California State Parks do not allow any collection of plants, animals, rocks, minerals. or fire wood, or in the case of a beach, driftwood, even glass, if its Glass Beach State Park.
The day was beautiful, clear, about 73'f, with a light breeze. After lunch we(my wife, younger son, and I) thought it would be a great day to go to Mount Diablo, for the view, and maybe see a few wild flowers. It's about 18 miles from our home in Bay Point, Ca. to the top of Mount Diablo 3849', once in the park it's 25mph max, dropping to 15, or 10mph, at hairpin turns, or trail crossings. Normally there are a lot of bicycles, on Mt. Diablo, but today I guess we missed the morning bunch, and headed back down as the after work group was starting up, which made it an easy trip, not trying to pass them in the car.
The first picture is what we got at the North Gate entrance, with our $9.00 per car senior, day use fee, $10.00 normal, and free on bike, or foot.
Second, is the summit, there's a visitors center, museum, and look out, with a fire spot above.
The third is a view from the parking overlook, northwest across the Mitchell Canyon Rock Quarry, over Concord, Martinez, to San Pablo Bay, the north point of the San Francisco Bay, toward the Napa Valley(wine country).
Fourth, my wife, and son walking back to the car, at one of the many pick-nick grounds that there are in the park.
I have a few more pics, that I'll post next!
Thank you for letting me share our Day Trip, with you! :^)
Please, feel free to ask questions, or add comments, all are welcome!
