Any information would be greatly appreciated. I inherited this ring when my mom passed away. All I know is that she bought it in Berkeley CA in the late 60's early 70's at a antique shop.

Looks like a special ring but your photos of the opal are quite fuzzy and difficult to appraise.
We need to see in-focus photos (no fingers, please) and also know if there are any marks on the inside of the band. Photograph the ring against a neutral colored background rather than a green one, please. If you have a magnifying glass, hold it directly against the camera lens and focus through both lenses.
