      I plugged one in once. It began smoking almost immediately. Lol.

      This is what we used when I was a kid. Toast one side, flip it over and do the other side. Never walk away from it unless you want charcoal. They always smoked when the heat coils got going. I always had to make the toast and my older sister laughed at me. Guess who got the charcoal on one side?
