I came home with this Uranium Glass Bead necklace this morning. I think it has been restrung, as up at the top end the bead sequence has gone a bit to pot, and spot the non uranium glass bead! It's a pretty light green until it is put under UV light. I would think it is made with Czech glass beads (I think they still make uranium glass beads).
You found this lovely vintage necklace too?!
Adele... once again you are very fortunate and I'm so happy for you to be able to find such treasures... Uranium glass has always fascinated me...
Gorgeous, I love uranium glass, and faceted beads like these!
I've seen a few with mixed beads, I have one with graduated oval cream-coloured beads and only about 1/3 of the necklace are uranium beads. I wonder if batches of beads got mixed up in the workshop before they were strung?
