    I received this broach from my Great Aunts estate. It has been passed down through family members that the red baubles are poisonous. Any info would be appreciated.

      The carved beads are Chinese lacquer cinnabar, looks quite old. could be poisonous from the lacquer finish. Very interesting brooch.

      I looked up GRAY on illusionjewels...
      There was a jewelry company... Fred Gray in the 30's -40's???
      Nice old piece by the way!! Love the carved "baubles"!
