These are two of the tiniest paintings I have ever seen. The ship is my favorite. The frames are 5" x 7", so you can see how tiny they are. I honestly don't know if they are whale bone or perhaps teeth or a piece of ship. They are done in absolutely astounding detail and in color and signed. I cannot tell what the signature is on these paintings. It looks like M. Lourd on both. The paintings themselves are 2" x 1". I bought these at an estate sale in Long Island, New York on the Long Island Sounds North Shore. If anyone knows anything about the paintings or the artist, I would love to know. Thank you for any help.
