I would like to think this is a cracking Ruby ring but not 100%. Another one of those that could be worn by all genders. If anyone could confirm the stone I would be grateful but I understand its difficult just from photos. Set in 9ct gold, beautifully plain and simple.

Looks like it to me! I've got one that's probably from 1900-1920's maybe. Not positive. the top of the stone is smooth and underneath is faceted. Is that what's goin' on here?
