I brought this with me to Florida from California 32 years ago. In California, I bought it from a friend who was liquidating his antique business. All I know is that it is solid cherry with veneer. The picture isn't great.

Looks like it could be period Eastlake based on the ornamentation and the pulls.

Some better photos that show details (drawer joints, back, cut/ carved top piece) would be helpful in determining if it is 19th century or a more modern piece.

i concur with scott -- a great book by charles locke eastlake is "hints on household taste in furniture, upholstery & other details" it is worth the read either through your local library or a purchase

      http://www.discoverypub.com/columns/csa/1112_commonsenseAntiques/index.html

the above has some info on eastlake
