This is part of my Emerson 1950's Tube Radio Collection, this Model the 826-b from 1955 is just dripping with the 1950's!! The Cherry Red Model was my Grandmothers, I am assuming she purchaced it because her favorite Color was Red.........Du!
This Radio sat on my Granmothers Kitchen counter top, and as a Child I was very intrigued by this Radio looking up at it as it sat next to the Toaster. So I had to get all colors of this Model, with the exception of the Cerulean Blue Model, a almost imposible to find color.
The Emerson 826-b is made of Plakston and Lucite, I love the unique design of the Lucite large front center clock face, the pedestal base is also made of clear Lucite. With 3 front knobs and two side knobs. The Model 826-b has the 3 front knobs and the Model 826-d ( I have the Pink and Grey colors) have two knobs on the front.

Did you ever find the blue one?
    8. jenfossils, 9 years ago
I got a whitish one. I would have loved a red or blue one!

Never found the Blue one, I had the opportunity back around 1999 to get one but lost in bidding, still searching.

The large dial in front is yellow. Is there a way to clean it?
    11. Radio-Tony Radio-Tony, 9 years ago
The Large Dial is made of Lucite, clean it with hot soapy water and a clean non abrasive cloth, so not use Windex or other household cleaners, I also suggest getting some Novus Plastic Cleaner/Polish

I think I may have one of the blue ones. Would that be the one that's kind of an aqua dark green color the one that's located second from the left in the stack of Pairs
