    Anyone know what this tool was used for? Maybe some kind of stretcher?
    Has patent date boldly stamped Dec 19 1882. Also an unreadable name & Bridgeport Conn.
    I only found one other online, but not info about it.

      Seems to be a piece missing which fits into the back of the shoe and moves along the threaded bar.
