This 2 1-4" looped swirl design is by Marcel Boucher from his art nouveau period of the late 40s-early 50s, with white & aqua rhinestones on silvertone. It is numbered 2839.

Such a gorgeous brooch!! I love the aquamarine teardrop rhinestones. It's from 1949 and looks showcase new! :)

When I first saw this brooch, old Hollywood glamour came to mind.
I can see Betty Davis, ( one of my favorite actresses), or Greer Garson wearing this lovely.
Back in the day, they didn't have to compete with "the real thing" like they do now.
Their ability to act was enough.
      Perfect as always, Jenni!

Wow, I just did the math, this work of art is 70 years old, and like Broochman said, looks showcase new!

Another lovely brooch! There have been some gorgeous trembling rhinestones on CW lately! I can see this one doesn't move, but it looks like it does. Nice find Jenni!

Many thanks kind folks for the love

Thank you Broochman for the fantastic compliments and IDing the year on this brooch, yes I was lucky to find this oldie in such great shape with only a little wear to the signature (but so minor, right!). Love Boucher's style versatility he never repeats himself

That's absolutely wonderful thinking this could be worn by the classic actresses of old Hollywood Eileen, they always looked elegant and expensively attired. One of my faves of that era was Hedy Lamarr, she had that perfect face and wore these beautiful headpieces with jewels on them, thank you for bringing that up I love those images, and you're right hard to believe this brooch is 70 yrs old, wow, thanks for the wonderful praise

You know Mary, this is so sparkly it does appear to be moving, I had a hard time getting good lighting to tone down the brightness! Great compliments as always, thanx so much

Pascale thank you, I am so pleased you really loved this, I love your fantastic authentic art nouveau and deco pieces and am really flattered

Thank you so much MrsT for the sweet words, you are always so nice and I am truly glad that you enjoyed this Boucher :)
