I found six Royal Vienna portrait plates today. They are all hand painted. No transferwares. The beehive is painted on over the glaze. Each plate is 10 inches. Anyone have any knowledge they can share? I’ve read about Royal Vienna and it’s actual origin, so I’m wondering if there is a way to narrow it down to any particular maker and time frame.

This is not genuine Vienna blue over glaze beehive mark. Several German and Bohemian manufacturers produced porcelain with faked Vienna mark. Vienna mark should be under glaze blue with several additional marks; painter`s mark, impressed wheel mark, year code (three digit for 19t. century, e.g. 826 for 1826). Depending on year, about mid 19th century one would expect impressed beehive mark. Your plates are very late 19th century or early 20th century.
