Large Yellow California Pottery Bowl Wheel-thrown by Fred Johnson of Bauer

I assume this is a California piece by the color and the simple form. The color in the first and 3rd photos is accurate, but the middle photo is off. I was told this was Bauer, but it is unmarked and i think it might be Garden City. Found at the flea market today.
