This is a vintage Boy Scout Neckerchief slide. How vintage is hard to say. I bought this from a vendor at the Rose Bowl who bought this as a Boy Scout 25 years ago as a Boy Scout. It was vintage then and he said he paid $25 then.
One may wonder why a teenager would pay $25 for a neckerchief slide. It is because it is one of the few pieces of the uniform one can personalize. The other is the right pocket where various camp patches can be worn. But a brass neckerchief slide is a bit nicer and much more rare.
The slider is embossed with an explorer Scout, Boy Scout, Cub Scout and George Washington praying. Plus the words "Onward for God and Country".
This seems to be based on some 1950's Norman Rockwell paintings thus I am thinking it is 1950's to early 1960's.

That vintage BS slide is really well done with the raised images, and very nice arrowhead slide as well

I got a 1943 "The Wolf Cubbook" "part 1, Wolf Rank" at the Flea Market today, I might post it later. It's not in the greatest condition but a cool book! Inside it says "This edition is produced in full compliance with the Government's regulations for conserving paper and other essential materials." Reminding of the WWII time that it was printed in! :^D
