I saw a saucer on the wall of a Pub like these, and really liked it, so looked it up online, and managed to find a set of 4 cups and saucers. They are made by Staffordshire Potters Taylor and Kent, who became Elizabethan fine bone china Ltd in 1982, and have the rather strange name Cut For Coffee! I thought they were from the 1960's-70's, but from the info that Elizabethan was formed in 1982, they must be later.
Very cool! I'd imagine the Joker would drink out of something like this!
Gorgeous playing cards cup & saucer, there is a gambler's saying here "cut the cards" or "cut the deck (of cards)", perhaps name comes from that?
Hmmmm Alice and Wonderland came to mind ....nice set.
