    Early 20th Century pencil pointer or sharpener. made by "The Automatic Pencil Sharpener Co." of Chicago Patented in 1906.
    Three sharp rotating blades slice the pencil like a plane slices a board, while rotating the pencil a little bit as each blade slices.
    The chips fall directly into a tin tray to be emptied when full.
