Hand made silver and copper pendant

I was given this pendant today by my neighbor.It came from her mothers estate. Her mother was given it as a gift from one of her artist friends in the 1950s when she lived in New York City. It is a very unique hand wrought silver on copper piece. There is a chain that goes with it that she is still trying to find for me.
