Mystery box made of Pine, 31" long, 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". there are five raised panel sliding doors that cover five of the six cavities. Perhaps a game or a till of some sort? Nicely made by a local craftsman sometime in the past.

The inside of the compartments look stained. I wonder if this might have been a spice or herb box with the uncovered compartment being where a dipper or such may have been kept?
All of the compartments are the same color. No residue of any kind. Clean as a whistle.
