My dad left me this marble and slate clock, not sure if it has original workings, just wondered if anybody can’t tell me something about it.

      Hi,

It looks to me that perhaps someone has replaced the original pendulum movement with a ding-dong strike balance wheel regulated movement.

The dial looks to have been replaced or altered..

It looks like the clock may have started life as a French Slate/Marble Mantel clock.

Now you have a Family Heirloom Clock. Enjoy it for what it is.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

      Bruce
