    Old micro mosaic brooch signed Italy found at an estate sale. The tesserae are pretty small so I think this is an old brooch 40s or 50s? Maybe even 30s?

      Jenni, six-o-one, foseatme, & Valentine97 - thank you for admiring this brooch! Valentino97, I didn't know they were shipped here, except in the 1960s, but by the the tiles were bigger. But it makes sense as to the Italy stamp on the back.

      Eileen, I have admire Agram.m's collection. I was looking at it a while back. So beautiful and antique! Much older, of course, than this example. There is an exhibit of micro-mosaic jewels currently on view at the Gibbs Museum of Art, Charleston, SC. Thanks for the love and admiration!
