    I am fascinated with this pottery piece. The color is just so vibrant. It almost makes everything around it look dull by comparison. It's marked KS '14 so I assume it's a hobbyist piece, unless someone on here recognizes the mark. Thanks!

      It’s a crystalline glaze, beyond what, IMO, most hobbyists can produce. Probably a studio potter. I don’t recognize the initials, but you might search for studio pottery marks And get lucky.

      Thank you, art.pottery. I'll definitely try searching some more. It doesn't look like the bottom chipped off at all- it looks more like it didn't get covered with the glaze. Do you suppose that was a mistake or intentional. I think it makes it unique looking, but I know nothing!
