Dr. Grabow pipes began in production is 1930. The company that made the pipes was actually owned by Mr Brown who was a friend and smoked pipes the actual Dr. Grabow. He was joined by Mr. Linkman and started the company. Dr. Grabow's name was used as they thought using the name of a doctor would help sell the product. It seems they are still around. Now I think they dropped the Dr.
The Viking pipe is a metal pipe patented in 1954 so this display is after that apparently. The graphics looks 1950s/early 1960s.
This seems to be pressboard or some wood/paper combination. There are no holes so it must have had a stand. I have it held in by nails underneath and wedged in along the side.
The Viking Pipe is no longer made and cost about as much as I paid for the display. In fact it seems buying more than one pipe would cost more. My plan is to buy some random vintage looking pipes. It will be great.
Nice displays Wyoming the only state I have been kicked out of wilder days working in the oil fields
