What are the dimensions? Can you post an image of the bottom? Very pretty vase.

      Hello kwqd,

Thanks man, for replying in regard to my vase. I greatly appreciate any accurate info you might be able to provide. Here is what I can tell you:

Vase appears to be ceramic pottery . . . But I’m certainly no expert
      Height: 8”
      Diameter at base: 2 1/2”
      Diameter at top: 2 5/8”
There is a gold-painted ring at the very top
Circumference at widest point: 12 1/4”
The paint pattern is raised considerably . . . Definitely not smooth to the touch

The base has no engravings which is how I know its not worth much. There is a gold stamp which reads: Not For Food
      May Poison Food

The warning on the bottom suggests that it is a recent China import and has only decorative value. I think I have seen pottery from India with the same type of warning on the bottom. Same comment about that. Still a pretty vase, though.

In general, not having engravings, writing, stamps, etc., on the bottom of a piece of pottery does not mean a piece of pottery has no value. Looking at the bottom of a piece of pottery can potentially provide a lot of information about how/when/where it was made, the type of clay used, etc., and can be useful when trying to learn more about it. Based on the warning on this vase, seeing an image of the bottom would not be useful.

no there is a difference between not for food for decoration purposes only
and not for food and may poison food, mainly used as warning for plumbum intoxication
