    Antique chest, not restored, very unique handles. Was curious what time period this might be from. Anyone have comments regarding applying a furniture salve? I would like to keep the rustic appearance.

      Great trunk! I love the iron banding and those hand wrought cast iron handles. I'm sure that someone will chime in and give you an approximate age.

      Wow you could put a body in this one ...'-)) I like it with the tuff handle and looks on it make me think of a tool trunk on a seagoing ship ...but I have no clue as to what I am talking about..smiling ,....but some one who collects them and restores them will be along sure as the sun will rise ..good luck ..nice box..

      be leave it or not I saw a trunk in a hop-along western ......Ranch Bar 20 movie the other..day ,, they were loading it on a wagon,,, just like yours...
