My 1950s Manitowoc Sub Zero Freezer..
This is my grandparent's old freezer from their kitchen... the motor burned out years ago, until recently they were using it to store ammo...
So i decided to store my small collectables and use it to display them...
The outside was covered rust. So i smoothed down the rough spots enough to where it can be given a new coat of paint... i left the inside untouched so that it can have a little bit of its original patina.. with all my projects i try not to over restore them..
So with this one i focused on preserving it so that it will last longer... from what Im told this is a uncommon fridge and these are not so easy to find these days...

The company that manufactured this freezer is still in business, so ive contacted them to see if they can find info on it, they said they will search up the serial number and let me know, they also said they found info on a similar model from 1963 so fingers crossed that they can find it..

Theres only one thing that I have added to the freezer and its this small reproduction CocaCola decal, figured it would go perfectly with it..

I have one exactly like this I believe it was a 1963 model. I have the bottom area with the motor and all that were just missing that front swing door that covers all the little doors.

Did you find out any more information about this as my family would love to know. We just moved to this house and it was built in 1910. In Two Rivers, WI

Please email me any info you have and I would be very appreciative. dailydrifter4589@gmail.com
