I've only had a couple of small pieces of Cinnabar and don't know how to tell if it's real or not. I don't know anything about it really. Any info appreciated!

Now the funny thing is I came across this quite a while ago but hadn't got round to trying the finger nail polish remover trick. So tonight I did on my cinnabar/lacquered items as a definitive test and it works but be careful as they say where you do it as it does take the shine off the finish!!!
