This is a charity shop (thrift store) buy. I was very happy to see the Registered Design Lozenge inside which denotes it is a Sowerby piece from a batch of six pieces with the RD. No. 260404, first registered 12th. of February, 1872. Apart from the usual scratches on the base, absolutely perfect.
