    I bought these baskets from an old Jewelry store in Salt Lake about 10 years ago. According to the owners they were reducing some of their old inventory and these baskets had been in the jewelry store for a very long time, probably collected by their parents. The jewelry store was established in 1895.

    I don't know which tribe produced them or approximate age.

      They are African, early to mid-20th century, from Nigeria. Probably Hausa tribe.
