The Yuengling glass ACL ashtray measures 10.6Cm square, and is probably from the mid-late 50s.

The Kaier's item measures 12.5 by 12.3Cm, and is most likely from the same period.

Yuengling is still brewing, , while Kaier's has been in Brewing Heaven for quite a few years now.

Fabulous vintage ashtrays Ted! It's sad that so many of the great breweries are no longer around

I started collecting ashtrays and beer mugs at 19 when I was in Germany. If you stole a mug or an ashtray out of a ghasthaus and made it out the door it was yours free. If you got caught you had to pay the owner double the value and return it. It was like a game of cat and mouse. I still have a few but sold off most of them when I got home. What is left will go to my youngest son.

Thank you, Jenni! Yes it is sad that so many of the regional breweries had closed up....

Hello fhrjr2... that is an interesting tale of your days in Europe. I am sure that it is quite a collection, and that in time, your son will take good care of them!!!
