Interesting because the company history says they didn't ship their first wrist watch until 1910.

      Hi, Mjay00. :-)

I think I see where you may have gotten your information using the serial number stamped into the back of the case (23765):

      https://www.elginnumbers.com/index.php

Unfortunately, per this website, that isn't the right serial number to use:

      *snip*

The serial number must be off the movement of the watch (where the gears are), not off the case. These two serial numbers are unrelated.

      *snip*

      http://elginwatches.org/databases/elgin_sn_intro.html

I see that you've managed to open the case, and have provided a picture of the movement, but I'm afraid I can't make out any of the engraved information thereon.
