    here is a necklace that I acquired it reminds me of the 1920's FLAPPER beads from the length (opened end to end it measures 56" long). the metal has seen much better days as time as worn on the surface, and one of the beads has split in two and is in a box now. There is evidence that the glass beads were at one time coated, however the color of them now is quite attractive and adds to the mystic of 1920's -

      Mary the small areas of coating do resemble pearls. I am sure they were at one time all coated. thanks for stopping - Lori
