Zoomorphic Whistle from Mexico

I'm not sure what animal this is, but it's kind of cool! almost deco looking? It's a whistle and it works. i think these are from Oaxaca, maybe? haven't looked it up yet. Burnished blackware like this is often sawdust fired.
