This is a tool to hold the pig's mouth open if you want to work on his (or her) teeth.
Maybe a tooth broke off or you have to pull a rotten tooth from the animal.
The one thing that I don't have the answer to is ...... how do you keep the animal restrained while you are doing this ardent chore?
I’m glad to learn it’s for the mouth and not the other end! ;^D
