Starting with the 5" gun in the bow and going into the superstructure and then down down into a refrigerator or freezer. They have 4 of these large wood lined freezers. Or refrigerators. I would imagine they had both. It took several months to make a trip across the Pacific and then back. A difference between this and warships is that the galley is in the superstructure while Battleships and carriers had their's below decks. Also the crew lived in the superstructure instead of below decks.
