The no 9 are some of the most common of the glass Insulators. They were used in the 1890s to 1960s for rural telephone systems. I have about 30 in the lot I recently picked up.

The one Insulator still has its support wire attached, making it very interesting. Something else to note, is the date codes on these specific Insulators.

In 1933 - 1938 Hemingray used a single digit Date code. When they got to 1939, they realized this wasn't going to work, so they changed the date code. So in the example with the support wire, the code is (7C-0::) The 7C is the mold number the 0 is 1940, then you add the dots= 1944. The other picture shows another 1944 insulator with a different mold number(3C-0::). And the other insulator date code shows (20A-9:) that's 1939 + 2 dots=1941.
