Found at an antique store and cleaned it up a bit and can’t seem to find the makers stamp online. Does anyone recognize it? Shield K 2 1/2 L . Just curious really, bought it to use it and for three bucks couldn’t go wrong.

Not a mattock. That is an ice ax for mountain climbing . I cannot help with the maker .

It’s a bad angle, but I’m pretty sure it’s a mattock. I was trying to get good light on the stamp. I’ll add a better pic. Thanks
