these fabulous lamps are big: 28" tall, and the largest (middle) part of the shade is 19" in diameter. these added the defining statement to my 1950s-style bedroom.

any idea who designed them or what this specific style is called?
i'm hoping when i re-wire the lamps---requiring removal of the protective felt on the bottoms---i'll discover a maker's mark. as for the specific style (of the body), i don't know. and i'll state the obvious about the shade style: "birthday cake" or "triple decker." but now you've got me curious, so i'll do some research and hopefully post some info here soon!
