Safari Ltd Daedon aka The Hell Pig

Daedon is known as the Hell Pig but was not a pig. It is more closely related. Took a while to figure this out as the taxonomy is all in Greek. Daedon had a 3 foot long skull and stood a bit less than 6 feet tall at the shoulder. It was an apex predator with hooves. lived from 16 million to 29 million years ago which is a pretty long run. Oh and aside from being an apex predator it was also an omnivore. Pretty much ate anything a bear or human could eat. I have a wooly mammoth in photo #4 to give one a rough idea of the size.
The toy is 5 1/4" long. And this one is a male.
